COVID-19

The health and well being of the lupus community is of primary importance to us.

Finding reliable information about lupus and COVID-19 is critically important during this crisis.  The links below are all reliable and updated information on COVID-19.

Because of COVID-19 and our commitment to serving you, the LSI is cancelling or postponing in-person activities through 2021.

We are thinking outside of the box in how to provide you the support you need during this challenging time.  We will be communicating with Support Group Leaders and other stakeholders to find solutions.  We invite you to forward suggestions you may have as well to info@lupusil.org.

It’s important for you to know that like many offices, the LSI team is working from home.  We are available by phone or email – our contact information is:

Updates & Additional Questions since the Web Meeting on 4/2/20

Updated information is the change in CDC recommendations to use a mask.  There was more talk about just talking as a way that the virus might spread.

Still the most important things to do are:

  • Social (physical distancing)-6 feet rule;
  • frequent hand washing;
  • also wash high touch areas;
  • stay home as much as possible
  • Face masks prevent you from spreading the virus especially early on when you might be asymptomatic, but face masks do not prevent you from getting it so please do the important health care measures

Please take care of yourselves: refer to the wellness links provided earlier

This is hard to do, but necessary to take care of ourselves
