Thank you for participating in our patient survey!
This survey will help researchers to better understand health care received by patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE or lupus). This study is being made available through the Lupus Society of Illinois with Dr. Meenakshi Jolly and Rush University Medical Center.
If you are new to the Lupus Society of Illinois, welcome!
Our mission is to improve the diagnosis and treatment of lupus, support individuals and families affected by the disease, increase awareness of lupus among health professionals and the public and find the causes and cure. In short, the organization works to serve the needs of the Illinois lupus community.
I know how challenging living with lupus can be. In 2001 my wife, Shirley, was diagnosed with lupus just as we were becoming empty nesters. In the years since her diagnosis, I have learned a lot about lupus—what the disease is, who gets it and how it impacts not only the individual with the disease, but everyone who cares about that individual.
Which is why the LSI’s programs and services benefit the entire lupus community—those with lupus and those who care about someone with lupus—because the impact of lupus extends beyond the individual with the disease.
I encourage you to visit our website and sign up for our enewsletter, the eChornicle, to get regular updates on lupus and activities for the lupus community throughout Illinois.
